The Left's War on Free Speech

The left pretends to be the protectors of Free Speech, but as Conservatives and Libertarians know, that is not the case. They will use all means necessary to silence their opposition without alerting mainstream Americans of what they are doing. Their own supporters won't say a word against the injustice because they think silencing those who might wake people up to their end-game is a good thing.

YouTube

This video above is from ET Williams. ET runs a channel on YouTube called Whatever Happened to Common Sense. His videos were flagged as inappropriate because he criticized Muslims who did not take showers. He was forbidden from uploading anymore videos and had to switch over to a backup account (YT: thetruthdamit). On a side note, you don't need to look far on YouTube to find videos or channels where people are mocking religions. I say side note because ET was not mocking their religion, just their hygiene.

Facebook

Uncle Sam's Misguided Children recently had their Facebook page suspended. This isn't the first time that Facebook has suspended Conservative accounts and it has prompted a Blackout Protest in response to the targeting of Conservative groups. They also don't allow Radical Islam-awareness pages, but have no problems with anti-Christian pages that advocate violence against Christians.

Also, they've allowed a Kill Zimmerman page to stay up, despite the fact that this clearly violates their Terms of Service. The reason they allowed it to stay up because George Zimmerman is a public figure, and not a private figure. So nevermind that he has a way higher percentage of being killed and Facebook allows for people to organize and pull off this feat, the fact that he remains in the public eye is enough for Facebook to overlook it's Terms of Service.

Twitter

The Left has also exploited Twitter's spamblock algorithm to get Conservative accounts suspended.

A bit off-topic regarding Free Speech, but a user on Twitter has discovered that the left is creating Twitter accounts pretending to be Conservatives. One has to wonder what the purpose of this could be. I'm guessing that their aim is to build a strong following base and then tweet comments that make Conservatives look bad. Edit: here's part two of that article.

If you can't tell by now, there is nothing that will stop these moonbats from pushing their communist agenda onto America.

Summary

Sans Twitter, these companies have proven they are not ready to be leaders in a free and open Internet. While I don't believe they are obligated to allow any sort of free speech because they are a company and we have to respect their Terms of Service, it's clear (to me, at least) that there will be a demand in the future for social media services that do not infringe on free speech. The essence of Freedom of Speech is being able to criticize your government and elected leaders without being silenced. With social media sites leaning to the left and supporting Barack Obama, you can't expect them to not target you or other Conservatives and Libertarians as we work to get the message out about how our Constitution is being destroyed.
